Paul Meets Muhammad | A Christian-Muslim Debate on the Resurrection

Imagine if the Apostle Paul were alive to defend the truth of Jesus’s resurrection-only to be countered by none other than the prophet Muhammad himself. In an interview from February 2006, Mike visits with Michael R. Licona, author of the book Paul Meets Muhammad: A Christian-Muslim Debate on the Resurrection as he describes an invention that can make historical figures appear alive and present. Imagining an audience of both Christians and Muslims, Licona crafts a lively debate between Paul and Muhammad, each speaking on and analyzing the validity of the Qur’an, the gospel accounts, and both Christian and Muslim doctrine.

Rick Warren,Chrislam & The OC Register

KING’S WAY? NO WAY! RICK WARREN AT ODDS WITH THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER

In a post yesterday entitled “Rick Warren directly contradicts what was reported in the OC Register”, I documented some of the statements by Saddleback pastor Rick Warren, as well as online resources that shows that the story that Rick Warren is using doesn’t line up with the facts reported by the Orange County Register’s reporter Jim Hinch – facts that were vetted by pastor Rick Warren’s own staff.

Thanks to my friend Christine Pack of Sola Sister blog (http://solasisters.blogspot.com/) for doing the research that makes this post necessary. Doing a little comparison, Christine compares what Rick Warren stated publicly with what’s also said publicly by other sources.

Click here to see a clear comparison of what pastor Rick Warren said and what three documented sources show is clearly at odds with our friendly neighborhood megachurch pastor.

AYATOLLAH: KILL ALL JEWS, ANNIHILATE ISRAEL

from WorldNetDaily.com

The Iranian government, through a website proxy, has laid out the legal and religious justification for the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of its people.

The doctrine includes wiping out Israeli assets and Jewish people worldwide.

Calling Israel a danger to Islam, the conservative website Alef, with ties to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said the opportunity must not be lost to remove “this corrupting material. It is a “‘jurisprudential justification” to kill all the Jews and annihilate Israel, and in that, the Islamic government of Iran must take the helm.”

The article, written by Alireza Forghani, an analyst and a strategy specialist in Khamenei’s camp, now is being run on most state-owned sites, including the Revolutionary Guards’ Fars News Agency, showing that the regime endorses this doctrine.

Michelle Malkin-All the wrong 9-11 lessons

OneNewsNow.com-

Are your kids learning the right lessons about 9/11? Ten years after Osama bin Laden’s henchmen murdered thousands of innocents on American soil, too many children have been spoon-fed the thin gruel of progressive political correctness over the stiff antidote of truth.

”Know your enemy, name your enemy” is a 9/11 message that has gone unheeded. Our immigration and homeland security policies refuse to profile jihadi adherents at foreign consular offices and at our borders. Our military leaders refuse to expunge them from uniformed ranks until it’s too late (see: Fort Hood massacre). The j-word is discouraged in Obama intelligence circles, and the term “Islamic extremism” was removed from the U.S. national security strategy document last year.

It is no wonder that a new poll released this week showed that Americans today “are generally more willing to believe that U.S. policies in the Middle East might have motivated the 9/11 terror attacks on New York and the Pentagon,” according to Reuters.

To make matters worse, we have an appeaser-in-chief who wrote shortly after the jihadist attacks a decade ago that the “essence of this tragedy” derives “from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others.” A “climate of poverty and ignorance” caused the attacks, then-Illinois state Sen. Barack Obama preached. Never mind the Ivy League and Oxford educations, the oil wealth, and the middle-class status of legions of al-Qaida plotters and operatives.

9/11 was a deliberate, carefully planned evil act of the long-waged war on the West by Koran-inspired soldiers of Allah around the world. They hated us before George W. Bush was in office. They hated us before Israel existed. And the avengers of the religion of perpetual outrage will keep hating us no matter how much we try to appease them.

The post-9/11 problem isn’t whether we’ll forget. The problem is: Will we ever learn?

Dr. Michael Youssef-Obama’s plan to ingratiate himself to Islamists backfires

from OneNewsNow.com

Since his election to the Presidency of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has been on a campaign to ingratiate himself to the Wahhabis, the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamic hardliners. In doing so he is magically transforming them, in his mind at least, into “moderates.” According to his logic, as long as Islamic expressions of jihad do not translate into bombing and beheading, their proponents should be considered “moderates.”

Mr. Obama has either been misled or has deceived himself into thinking that Muslim fundamentalists can be moderate. To them the world is very simply divided into two segments: Dar al-Islam and Dar al-Harb. Dar al-Islam is the House of Islam and this segment is filled with those who agree with the divinity of Islam and those whom they deem qualified to be under their tent. Dar al-Harb is the House of War and it encompasses everyone else, regardless of what they call themselves.

Make no mistake about it: in the eyes of those with whom he is attempting to ingratiate himself, Mr. Obama belongs to the House of War. He may bow to them, negotiate with them, and give them international respectability, but their views of him will not change.

The recent revelation that the Obama administration has been negotiating with the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt raised some eyebrows in the West. In reality, many Arab newspapers have been writing about clandestine meetings between the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood and the American ambassador to Egypt for the past two years.

Just a reminder, the Muslim Brotherhood is the group vowing to deny Israel’s right to exist. They are also overtly aligning themselves with Hamas and other terrorist organizations.

You would think that with all of this risky ingratiating, Mr. Obama’s favorability ratings in the Arab/Muslim world would soar. Not so. The Egyptian public, who detested George W. Bush, gave him a nine-percent approval rating. They have given Mr. Obama a scant five-percent approval rating.

To add insult to injury, 75 percent of the Egyptian public has said they do not want American aid dollars. Still, U.S. aid money continues to pour into various organizations in Egypt that are purportedly pursuing democratic reform. Currently, aid is going directly to reform organizations to avoid the interim government “skimming the cream” off of America tax-payer dollars.

Regardless, by giving indirect aid under Mr. Obama’s “operation moderation,” the Muslim Brotherhood is a recipient of some U.S. aid. No doubt, part of that money has funded the recent increase in the persecution of Egyptian Christians. As I recently told a friend of mine who is a United States senator, Christians in Egypt have reconciled themselves to suffering persecution for the name of Christ, but please don’t use my tax dollars as succor to enable it.

Instead of engaging in an impossible project of using aid to moderate Islamists, President Obama should honor the wishes of Egyptians and withdraw U.S. aid. Just to refresh your memory, U.S. aid to Egypt was directly tied to them honoring the Camp David agreement signed between Egypt and Israel. Unless they keep that agreement in its entirety, aid to Egypt must come to a screeching halt.

I know Mr. Obama does not ask for my advice, but I would urge him to divest himself of his current White House advisors on the Middle East, especially those who have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood (read more about this connection) and replace them with objective, thoughtful ones who possess truth, patriotism, and scholarship.

My 2 cents…snibbets on news items

Salt Lake City Church distributes free copies of the Quran, each with a bookmark bearing these words:

“This book was donated by the leaders of Wasatch Presbyterian Church, who are not afraid of truth wherever it can be found.”

To the people at Wasatch Presbyterian…RUN!, run from this apostate, traitorous organization as fast as you can! God will judge this act.

Glenn Beck labels Mike Huckabee a Progressive and Huckabee responds

“Beck needs to stick to conspiracies that can’t be so easily de-bunked by facts. Why Beck has decided to aim his overloaded guns on me is beyond me. But he ought to clean his gun and point it more carefully lest it blow up in his face like it did this time.”

I disagree with Mike Huckabee on matters of theology but a political progressive he is not. Glenn Beck is a nut, a pagan and all of you star-struck Christians who kissed Beck’s boots just so you could get the publicity of being on his TV program have more call to be ashamed.

Praise the Lord for the courage of Dr. Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. I listened to an interview of him on Fox and Friends on satellite radio while driving to work this morning, and then watched the video below later of a different interview. He is a gracious man and yet a man of conviction. Watch this clip how while he he is kind in his replies to Eric Shawns questions pertaining to Roman Catholicism, he does not compromise his commitment to Christ and the Gospel. Those at FBC Dallas should give thanks for this man.  (Note: as soon as the video of the FOX and Friends interview is available, I will share it here with you.)
