Graham this week slammed the National Cathedral in Washington for allowing Muslims to hold their first prayer service there last Friday.
“It’s sad to see a church open its doors to the worship of anything other than the One True God of the Bible who sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to earth to save us from our sins,” said Graham, head of the Samaritan’s Purse humanitarian aid ministry.
The younger Graham took to Facebook and spoke to the news media to register his extreme displeasure that a Christian cathedral—long a Washington landmark—would willingly be handed over to Muslims by the Cathedral’s Episcopalian leadership.

“The killing of Christians by Muslims from Indonesia to Bangladesh to Pakistan. China tearing down church buildings,” wrote Graham.
“Christians tortured, beheaded, and crucified in Iraq, with villages burned and churches destroyed, and much the same in Syria.”
Graham went on to speak of “signs of the end of the age” documented by Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 24, including “wars and rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, and pestilence.”
“As I read the news, I can’t help but wonder if we are in the last hours before our Lord Jesus Christ returns to rescue His church and God pours out His wrath on the world for the rejection of His Son,” wrote Graham.
“I don’t know if we have hours, days, months, or years — but as Christians, God calls us to take the truth of the Gospel to the ends of the earth.”

Hardly a day passes that I don’t hear someone say, “We are losing our country; we are losing our churches.”
While doomsday appears to be knocking at our door, let me take you back to the early 1800s. Many think of it as “the good old days,” but history tells us that society, even then, was as bad as it could get at that time. John Marshall, chief justice of the United States Supreme Court, wrote to President James Madison and said, “The church is too far gone ever to be redeemed.” When we examine why, we find that preachers had stopped preaching the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the people were not hearing God’s Word.
What changed? Christians began to diligently pray for revival—and the result was the Second Great Awakening. When people’s prayers stormed the heavens, and when the Bible was opened in the pulpits and the Word of God proclaimed by passionate preachers, the church was awakened from slumber by the Holy Spirit, who moved in hearts, spreading revival throughout the heartland of America.
Thank God for men of courage like Franklin Graham, who refused to back down from his commitment to his faith and his statement that Islam is a demonic and evil religion. Islam is just that, and I agree whole heartedly with Rev. Graham. Jeers to the spineless, gutless decision makers at the Pentagon whose piece-of-string backbone led them to cave in to pressures from the Council on American Islamic Relations that Graham been disinvited as the keynote speaker at the National Day of Prayer. Sadly this is one more example of the cowardice of the current administration and on this society as a whole. Below is an action alert issued recently from American Family Association.

Rev. Franklin Graham was bounced from the opportunity to pray at the Pentagon on the National Day of Prayer (May 6) because he once called Islam “an evil and wicked” religion, and because he wants Muslims to know that Jesus Christ died for their sins. He refused to back down, (video here) even in the face of this blatant anti-Christian discrimination, saying that Muslims are in fact “enslaved” by their religion.
The military dumped Rev. Graham because, according to spokesman Col. Tom Collins, “We’re an all-inclusive military.” Well, you’ll have to excuse Rev. Graham for not feeling particularly included at this point. Apparently the inclusiveness of the military does not extend to those who speak the truth about Islam.
It apparently counts for nothing that Graham’s charitable organization, Samaritan’s Purse, has delivered compassionate care in the name of Jesus to millions of Muslim children around the world for decades.
