Is Obama Threatening to Divorce Israel? | Joel Rosenberg

from Charisma

Is a divorce coming between the President of the United States and the State of Israel?

Once, it would have been almost preposterous even to ask such a question. Today, however, it feels like it’s a matter of “when,” not “if” Mr. Obama will formally abandon American support for the Jewish State. And the situation is rapidly going from bad to worse.

Readers of this blog may recall that I posted this column on January 14, 2015: “Will President Obama abandon or fully turn against Israel in last two years in office, amidst ISIS & Iran threats? Exclusive poll results.” According an exclusive poll I commissioned late last year, a remarkable 47.4 percent of Americans fear the President will turn against Israel soon given that he won’t ever face the voters again. I suspect the number would be much higher today.

Israeli Youth Shocks National Television Audience With Yeshua Confession

from Charisma News

The symbolism is powerful. For eight days in December, we take one candle called the servant candle and light eight other candles. In the same way, Yeshua came as a servant and gave us light.

In Israel being a light can be scary. You never know how someone will react to your faith. On Christmas Eve, when 20-year-old Shai Sol testified of her faith in Yeshua before the whole country, every believer in Israel was challenged and encouraged.

Who Really Are Abraham’s Heirs? | Ron Cantor

from Charisma News

The Torah portion (in Judaism there is a yearly calendar for reading the Torah) from a few weeks ago focused on Isaac. The Lord speaks to him in Genesis 26:

“For I will give to you and all your descendants all these lands, and I will fulfill the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of the heavens and will give your descendants all these lands. By your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” (Gen. 26:3b-5).

In this promise to Isaac, the Lord affirms, that the promise to Abraham of the physical land of Israel, is meant for Isaac’s physical descendants, whom he declares will be as numerous as the stars of the sky, adding that through them, all nations on earth will be blessed.

In last week’s Torah reading, God affirms these promises to natural Israel to Jacob, Abraham’s grandson:

“The Lord stood above it and said, “I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie, to you will I give it and to your descendants. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and in your descendants all the families of the earth will be blessed” (Gen. 28:13-14).

This is very significant for several reasons:

Why We Should Care About Israel Today | Dr. Michael Brown

Many believers today, especially in the younger generation, have serious questions about why they should stand with the people of Israel. What connection, they wonder, does the modern State of Israel have with ancient biblical prophecy? After all, didn’t Paul state in Romans 9:6 that “not all Israel is Israel”?

And, why should Christians stand with Israel when Israel is allegedly guilty of committing atrocities against the Palestinians? What about standing on the side of justice?

Why focus on the salvation of Jewish people as if their salvation were more important than the salvation of any other people group? To give priority to the salvation of Israel would imply favoritism (or even racial discrimination) on the part of God.

These are serious questions that deserve serious answers, so let’s examine them carefully, following Paul’s discussion in Romans 9-11 in detail.

PJTN Calls for U.S. to Eliminate Funding of Hamas/PA Terrorist Regime

(Washington, DC) July 11, 2014 – Laurie Cardoza-Moore, Founder and Director of Christian pro-Israel organization, Proclaiming Justice To the Nations (PJTN), is calling upon Congress to totally eliminate all U.S. funding of Hamas and the Palestinian Authority(PA) in light of the onslaught of attacks this week against Israel.

“Unfortunately, it is the U.S. taxpayer, along with the tax-paying citizens of other Western countries, who are funding the salaries of the jihadists of Hamas and the PA as they continue to wage their ongoing terror war against Israel—our only legitimate Middle Eastern ally,” declares Cardoza-Moore. “Additionally, we are paying for the weapons the jihadist’s use against Israel, the U.S. and other countries. With this week’s attacks upon Israel and the kidnapping and murder of three innocent young Israeli boys, Christians and other people of conscience must demand that their countries no longer support the Palestinian Islamic regime.” Continue reading
