Many people in churches have the mindset and philosophy that if the unsaved like us, then they will like Jesus and thus “ask Him into their hearts”; that Christ never offended or condemned anyone and was never ever assertive or direct. Is this scriptural? Mike says this is an inaccurate and dangerous view and examines this issue including clips of a Phil Johnson interview with John MacArthur concerning his book “The Jesus You Can’t Ignore”.
Some churches have ‘Meet my Friend’ services!
While John 15:13 tells us, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”, but does this mean like a bud, chum or pal? What should be emphasized more Jesus my friend, or the Lord Jesus, my Savior?
Best of MCP!
From the original broadcast in December 2009, in a joint holiday program, Mike is joined by his dear friends Dr. Dan Edney and Pastor Scott Reiber of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Vicksburg, MS to discuss the incarnation and birth of the Lord Jesus.
